How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Our media product is a piece about the a cast out detective who was fired from his job. This led to his downfall and his whole life spirraling out of control. This media products aims to represent every aspect of different people mentally ill or not, young or old and whether life is easy to cope with in any aspect which relates to everyone.

Our Thriller film can represent a social group that has a menatl illnesses since anxiety and depression is shown in Obsession and is one of the most common problems Britian. This then reaches out to those particular people and draws them is an audience since they can easily relate to out protagonist.

Also it is very representative of people who work in britian since “British workers put in the longest hours and take the least amount of holiday in the European Union, with two thirds of us working through our lunch breaks.” According to psychologies magazine. This representative of the working class citizens in London since John is as well a working class citizen who has been fired from his job leaving him full of stress and panic.

This represents working class since most people who work are somewhat addicted to there work and they don’t work long hours because they have to its because they subconsciously want to this is represented in our character John and in two thirds of the working population in britain. It is representative of people aged 40 since John who plays the protagonist has a beard and long coat which represents a typical 40 year old male with not much effort on his appearance which may not be representative of all males but it is a stereotypical representation of an old British ex-cop with no wife and kids.

Also of the younger generation maybe perhaps 25 year olds since our other man Jack is a little younger and more enthusiastic this is a good representation of a new, young and excited copper.
